Like the other BenQ drives we've reviewed, the DW was very easy to install. From start to finish, the entire process took only a few minutes. After taking the drive out of the box, I left the jumper set to master and installed it on the secondary IDE chain of our test computer by connecting the IDE cable and power connector.

If you have autorun enabled on your computer, the menu pictured below should automatically appear when you insert the disc. Otherwise, you can check out the documentation by clicking on the little book shaped icons. Clicking on "Nero Suite" will bring up the menu pictured above. You can install each component individually, or everything but InCD in one shot.

I'm happy with my purchase. Great Deal Pros: Over the years, I've owned a number of burners. This one has impressed me to the point that I'm here buying another! The software that comes with it is also top notch. Cons: I've really given this drive quite a workout without a single problem NO coasters!

About all I haven't tried is the Light Scribe but that wasn't why I got it. It was just frosting on the cake. Overall Review: It was a snap to install, a novice shouldn't have any problems. If a novice would read the documentation before trying anything, I think with just a small amount of effort, he or she should be able to master it quite easily.
