Adobe acrobat cannot find resource files


















Well, with each update they've had since, the problems has not been resolved. BUT we did find a decent resolution that works for us. After confirming that you are on the latest version, close Adobe Acrobat. Once its closed launch the Task Manager and make sure you are viewing more details. Look for AcroCEF in the processes. There will probably be five or six of them running.

End all of those tasks. Then re-launch Adobe Acrobat. Then attempt to Request Signature again. The blank screen should no longer appear and the correct box for requesting signatures should come up. It's not the best solution but it's easy enough and much better then running repair or re-imaging the whole machine. I've still had the blank screen issue come back for users I've done this for, but not often.

You can do these steps with the user logged in and it only takes a couple minutes. I hope this helps anyone reading these forums, I've been lurking here for months waiting for a permanent resoution. We do not give admin privileges to staff on their devices so I went through all the computers to do this but I can't do it everytime it stops as we have a large building of staff and the user's with the issue are spread around the office and rural offices as well.

I was told so many time that a patch would be available in December which will fix the issue but potentially create other issues and the issue is occuring more and more with our staff which is leading to more and more frustration. Deleting this process won't change anything. Same behaviour as before. I was able to get it to work by repairing the installation and running Acrobat as an administrator.

I was told to put them into my joboptions folder in Acrobat Distiller. I am running version 7. When I downloaded these files onto the desktop and double-clicked them, they seemed to store themselves automatically into the Distiller.

I was getting the same error when printing from filemaker 8. There was no entry for filemaker, so I followed the above instructions for office, restarted filemaker, and it worked. I have Adobe 9. This was a big help for me.
